The city is not for people alone. Plants, microbes, birds, insects—each holds its own place, each forms relationships, and together they support the shape we call the city. We at Rokkakukei are weaving those relationships back together, one tangible act at a time.

We plant greenery on walls, build small ecosystems on rooftops, and set palm-sized nature on the desks of daily life. Through art, we question our relationship with the natural world itself. The texture of each practice differs, but at the root lies a single conviction—coexistence is not a distant ideal, but a present reality we can design, operate, and nurture, here and now.

The hexagon is a shape nature itself arrived at as the most efficient structure. We too want to engage with the city in this way—lean, supple, yet firmly supporting one another. We will continue, with care, to design the act of being together.
